Cornerstone Bar & Food

Urban, quirky, eclectic and creative. These are the words that sprung to mind at the sight of this funky cafe in Carriageworks, Redfern.

Last Sunday’s photoshoot left us cold and hungry. The sight of a cafe in business AND no trekking required was simply godsend!

Cornerstone Bar & Food is, in many ways, like a funky Brooklyn-esque bar & food which I find very similar to The Grounds of Alexandria, but with a lot less people. Apart from a great selection of honest and affordable savoury and sweet dishes, the place also has an amazing line-up of beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic).

The cosy interior is furnished with a mixture of mismatched bar and dinning table sets, cosy chocolate studded leather couches and large coffee tables. The whole place is also stylishly decorated with plants, bare light bulbs and candles. There are also pool and ping-pong tables for any enthusiasts!

Me being me could never say no to eggs (if available) and my sister could never resist a good burger. So we were very efficient with what to order. Our coffee and food came very quickly and all were delicious. =)
